Psychology of Achievement -- Brian Tracy

Psychology of achievement includes the following topics:

Building a Positive Self-Concept Accepting responsibility and taking charge of your life Programming for success Goal setting and goal achieving Creative problem solving and decision making Superior human relations

Above 6 items are considered to be the 6 keys to personal power.

• The information that I will be presenting to you is all based on what I have learned from tapes, books and seminars by a very well-respected,
• well-known psychologist named "Brian Tracy".
• (I have not attended his seminars, but I have listened to his tapes and have read some of his books)

Fariba covered alot of information about "Psychology of Achivement" last night. Her emphesis was on "Brilding a Positive Self Concept". The concept of success involves 6 factors as follows:

• Peace of mind (freedom from fear,anger, and guilt)
• High level of health
• Mature, loving, intimate relationship
• Financial Freedom
• Worthy goals
• Freedom of personal fulfilment

She also talked about the laws of being:

• Law of control
• Law of accident
• Law of cause & effect

The three Mental laws are as follows:

• Law of belief "Whatever you believe with feeling becomes your reality"
• Law of expectaion
• Law of attraction

She also talked about the attitudes towards self and others. One should have control over his/her mind, thoughts, ans feelings and should manufacture his/her beliefs and expectations. As Emerson writes:

"You BECOME what you think about, you are NOT what you think you are, but what you think, you ARE".

Thanks to Fariba for her great presentaion and thanks to Kambiz for great paziraee. Kambiz made sure EVERYONE had tea ALL THE TIME! :)

Next doreh will be on November 4th. Sayeh will show us a movie called: "Twelve Angry Men" (Not to be confused with DavAzdah Marde Khabis with Charles Bronson!) Henry Fonda plays in it. I'll send more info next week.

Next doreh will be on thursday October 21st. The place is to be determined early next week. Fariba M. has volunteered to talk about a very interesting and educational topic called:" Psychology of Achievement". She was inspired by the great works of a well known psychologist "Brian Tracy". Fariba has written a very nice and thorough introduction for her talk that shows how dedicated and organized she is :) I'll include her mail below. Directions will be posted next week.

I think you all know by now that Kambiz offered his house for doreh this thursday. Since his offer was the best we'll gather at his house this thursday. Fariba will give a presentaion on "Psychology of Achievement". She will focus on Brian Tracy's findings on "Building a Positive Self-Concept" and "Superior human relations". I'll include directions. Thanks Kambiz :)

Side Note: I have limited tickets left to the Sunday concert . If you have not purchased yours, please do so on thursday. Hafez may have extras on the day of concert, but there is no guarantee. Let me know how many you want so I can reserve them for you.
